Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

When in the upper-GI scheduled for?

This Friday. I'm calmer now and I'm going to call the office in a few minutes and ask to speak to a nurse of the office manager. I'll voice my concerns with the procedure to the nurse and make sure she leaves a note for the doc and to have him call me first thing in the morning. If it's the office manager, I'll be sure to tell her/him that they need to better coordinate communications so they don't freak a parent out without having access to the doctor.

Aidan had to have an upper GI, didn't he? I really want to talk to Deena to see how bad it really is.

What is even happening?

Cashmere, isn't the upper G.I. just the series of Xrays? I think the scope thing you were describing before might be called an endoscopy.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

did you tell him you got his name from me?

(hopefully this will speed up the call bac, rather than impede the progress)

Also, you can ask Ellen S for a reference.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

DH has upper GI's on a regular basis - I know with adults they knock'em out ( could be a twilight, I'm not sure) - so I don't think Olivia will know what happened., but then again I don't know what they can and can't do with babies. and I'd tell the doctor's office that you will NOt be confirming the appointment until you speak with your doctor and you are convinced that the procedure is nessacary.

did you tell him you got his name from me?

Yes, I am just hoping I pronounced your last name correctly.

For infants, they have to put the barium in there via a tube.

upper GI as opposed to lower is a scope - and they may be using the scope to see how the vavle is behaving

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

For infants, they have to put the barium in there via a tube.

That sounds like a better plan than having to voluntarily swallow the stuff.
