For infants, they have to put the barium in there via a tube.
That sounds like a better plan than having to voluntarily swallow the stuff.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

that's different - gross, but I think it will keep her from getting ill
absolutely. But consider the possibility that he scheduled the test so that she could have it as soon as possible IF you decided to go through with it. It is entirely possible that he is going to call you like he said, and the scheduler didn't realize the situation. But, be prepared to bitch slap if I'm wrong.
Oh Cashmere! Ugh! But Vortex really really may have a point here. He may have seen the spot on the schedule and snapped it up so he wouldn't lose it before he had the chance to talk to you.
And we can slap him later if need be.
I went to go say it and realized you are just "Nora" to me.
ha - still deserves a slap even if that was the plan - If someone called and did that and it was for ME - that would cause a panic attack. For my baby - full panic - that could have been prevented.
If anyone here has a number where she can be reached can they email me at my profile addy?
As far as I know, there is no way to contact her till tomorrow. But, I'd send her an e-mail so she has it right away when she gets access again tomorrow. Her new e-mail address is serasempre at gmail dot com.
Is it too late to join the SFers in bitching about the weather?
I feel like finding a desert to run away to.
I'm sorry, but the SF-based weather-bitching deadline was 10:47 yesterday evening. By not bitching before the deadline, you not only forfeited your right to bitch in solidarity with us, but now the bad weather is ALL YOUR FAULT.
The fact that the deadline is almost exactly the same precise moment at which you blamed me for your imminent bacon woes is purely coincidental, I assure you.

Oh, that makes sense, actually. I'm sorry.
This Friday. I'm calmer now and I'm going to call the office in a few minutes and ask to speak to a nurse of the office manager. I'll voice my concerns with the procedure to the nurse and make sure she leaves a note for the doc and to have him call me first thing in the morning. If it's the office manager, I'll be sure to tell her/him that they need to better coordinate communications so they don't freak a parent out without having access to the doctor.
Good for you!
Aidan had to have an upper GI, didn't he? I really want to talk to Deena to see how bad it really is.
I can't remember, but he probably did, because he has digestion issues.
upper GI as opposed to lower is a scope - and they may be using the scope to see how the vavle is behaving
Okay. I was misremembering from my days coding the charge master at the hospital. Upper GI is fluoroscopy.
Cashmere, if it helps, I don't think it is supposed to be painful. It will probably be uncomfortable and the restraints will not be happy making for her, but I don't think it will hurt her, physically. One thing you might want to ask tomorrow is how long it typically takes to perform, so, if you decide to let her have it, you can be prepared.
If you're not sure, after you talk to your pedi, ask him what type of specialist you should talk to, to get a second opinion.

Please note that unlike your husband DavidS "Spikes Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure." Apr 4, 2006 9:19:14 am PDT and SuziQ, SuziQ "Spikes Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure." Apr 4, 2006 9:01:41 am PDT, I did not actually bitch about the weather after 10:47 p.m., I simply asked if it was too late to do so.
It's really not very nice of you to blame things like that on your DH.
