Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, poor Gloomcookie and ND and Kristin with the airport waitage.

Also, you probably won't see this, but good luck, Kristin! I hope you're able to catch some zzzzzzs on the bus. (I know...yeah, right!)

Teppy and Jars and flea are all too sweet for words. Oh, and billytea too! I'm so glad that the meeting with foster mom went so well.

Poor Daniel and ChiKat with the late workage. Craziness. It's been a rough time here in Bitches, and I declare that things get better for everyone.

My Emily is so cute. She's trying to get out the door to school, and she just asked me to do her "a big favor." That big favor was fixing her a to-go cup of coffee. Silly girl. I get up in the morning to help her get out the door. I certainly don't get up at this time for my health!

And, she's off!

ION, I was gonna go to school today to accomplish three things: 1) start talking my way up the food chain in Financial Aid; 2) pass things off at work and give my boss his baby present; 3) go to math. But, what I forgot is that I have a 2:20pm appointment with my doctor, and before that, J and I are taking my DigiTrace equipment back to the DigiTrace office in Braintree. So, no school today. Maybe I'll go by tomorrow. Or maybe I'll just wait till Wednesday. We'll see. I want to get all of this started, though.

Our wings are not tired.

Good morning vw. When will you hear something about the DigiTrace?

I have a frantic Monday planned. Brendon heads to Detroit 6:50pm flight and we have about 5 days worth of stuff that has to be done before he leaves. Eeeeeeeek!

I'm guessing at least a week. I'll ask when I drop stuff off today.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Gronklies.

I just taught a class, where every time I turned around to write something on the board, I'd hear a few students giggling. As soon as I turned back, they stopped. Extremely disconcerting.

Oh, Hil, that's awful. Bad students. No cookies.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It is decided! Wallybee and I are going to stay a night in the Dandenongs over Easter. We'll be staying at a B&B that promises 5 acres of landscaped gardens, a national park as a backdrop, and the possibility of kookaburras visiting your balcony.

I'm looking forward to it very much. I rather think that WB is too.

Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap.

I asked Emily yesterday to leave me her checking account number so I could deposit the cash rent from Not!Emily into her account this morning. I just realized that she didn't. And the landlord picked up the check yesterday and will probably deposit it today, and I know she doesn't have enough money in her account to cover it.

I have no way of getting ahold of her at the school. Occasionally she is able to check e-mail, but I don't know if she'll get my e-mail in time. I'm sure the bank isn't going to give me her account number.

Ugh. I don't know what to do.

ETA: I've looked around a bit for her checkbook and extra checks, but I don't want to be too nosy. I didn't see them in the expected places.

What is even happening?

I have no way of getting ahold of her at the school.
Why couldn't you leave a message with the school office--that she needs to call you as soon as she gets a minute?

I doubt they'd know who she is. And I don't remember her cooperating teacher's name.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I believe this is a situation in which a serious rifling-through of another person's drawers (heh, I said "drawers") is acceptible, if you have the energy to do so.

ETA: Perhaps what I mean is better expressed as "systematic search" than "rifling-through".
