This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's the removal.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

vw, I'm wishing you 'sodes, today. But, not scary ones or anything, just enough to get the doctors the info they need. And I wish I could stay in jammies today, but I've got to do laundry so I can hit the road.

Laura, you sure are lucky to have all this great advice on kitties. I remember driving with my cat from San Diego to Ridgecrest, CA and then on to Phoenix. It wasn't awful, awful, but I felt so sorry for the kitty because he got car sick and it was just an uncomfortable ride for him. If I'd had the hivemind back then, I could have made it a much less stressful trip for him.

So, today I need to call and cancel our cable (sad-making, but we barely watch it) and call and yell at our landlord. I'm putting them both off. Such a baby, I am.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Fay, nobody in DH's family could be called skinny, and they loved living in Thailand (I think it was a 3-year tour, maybe 4). You've got nothing to worry about.

So, I need to call the landlord to find out why they haven't installed carbon monoxide alarms, even though they're required to be installed by today. But, I know landlord is going to ask if we're leaving at the end of our lease, 'cause she left a message last Friday saying that she'd been contacted by agents and wanted to know.

Well, we are moving. Not!Emily is not interested in resigning the lease. He's going to move in with some friends from law school. And, Emily and I had already decided that we don't live well with others, and we want a place of our own. But, according to MA law, we don't have to let landlord know till 30 days prior to our lease ending. I'm willing to let her know up to 60 days prior, but this 5 MONTHS prior is bullshit. I don't want agents in the apartment right now. My feeling is she can wait.

So, do I tell her we don't have to tell her yet, or do I lie and say we haven't decided? I hate lying, but I just don't feel like dealing with this right now.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

lie and say you haven't decided. Is your lease a Sept 1 lease? I'm betting they want to show it to students to move in for Sept 1, before they leave town for the summer. Or, maybe not. Students aren't the best tenants, but a lot of real estate rental stuff moves on their schedule regardless.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I know it sounds pathetic, but I really needed to hear that, Jessica. Thank you.

Fay, a friend of mine who is what may be referred to as a 'fat chick' taught English in Thailand for a year and had absolutely no problems. Everyone loved her, from what I could gather.

Our wings are not tired.

Lie vw. You can do it! You could change your mind. You haven't made a decision on where yet. Lots of ways to make it not a lie.

Laura, you sure are lucky to have all this great advice on kitties.

Ain't that the truth. As I was pondering it in my head I thought how wonderful that all I have to do is ask here and the solutions will appear. Nifty that!

Yes.

I bet that's probably it, but really, I don't care. Not my problem. We have the right to a peaceful living environment, and right now I need that peaceful living environment.
