Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Whoo and hoo, Spidra!!! Concertage is good and the location sounds fun and interesting! Me not being able to come and hear is not quite as good.

For the next three days, there are not enough hours to get things done here at work. And yet, I feel compelled to keep up with the Bitches...

This doesn't sound familiar to me. Nope. Not at all.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Thanks, libkitty. I'm really looking forward to it. As a friend of mine asked me, "How were you able to get TONY MARCUS as your accompanist?!?"

beej - write a reason list of what bugs you - think of solutions , write them down - that way when you do talk , you have stuff in your brain , in case things get emotional .

Right. Got the letter right here...think 3 pages, single spaced is too much? (kidding, mostly, it isn't that bad...which I can now say having taken a nap...thanks again guys)

And no, Epic, turn away from the notion of shunning! 14 minutes equals a collective bathroom break down the hall...or maybe a snack run outside...but NEVER shunning!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So, since we got rid of cable, Em is actually watching Sesame Street each morning. I caught some of it today as I still get dressed in her room. This is NOT her mother's Sesame Street.

On today's episode, Sunffleupagas was trying to crash diet/crash exercise because one of the other puppets told him he was "too big" to dance.

When did Sesame Street get barraged with body image demons?

BTW - Maria? Still hot.

Phew! One of the perils of playing catchup all morning. There's always another post. You finally catch up and say something...and no one's answering instantaneously. Messing with my head.

Good grief! We've gone from "After School Specials" to "Pre-School Specials"? Seems wrong.

Hey, whatever happened to that other 'Ffista who was in San Diego? Not Cass, the other one. What was her name? SagaNonsequitur or somesuch?

What is the difference between cautioning against and invoking the mindset where toddlers and tweens are concerned?

How do you answer "Mommy, what's body dysmorphia?"

Oh, and while I was taking my neighbor to the farthest reached airport in the area this morning at 4:30am (may have contributed to my bad day), I heard on NPR that a study says tots and tweens aren't getting enough sleep, which contributes to obesity and diabetes.

I'm seeing a pattern here.

Oh, I am SO out of the loop. When did Snuffelupagus become visible to other Muppets?! Now how are kids supposed to learn that it's okay to talk to people that other people can't see? That was a formative childhood lesson for me, dammit.
