My husband lost his phone. Not just his phone, his $600 has all his info sync'd from his computer phone.
Damn. Just damn. I'm glad that he gets to hang with friends and get a change of people to be around at least. Losing something like that just shows how dependent we can be on bits of technology...
I am still boggled at the family news. Flying home for Easter just got a lot more interesting.
Some people need to be put out of OUR misery. From thesmokinggun.com
FEBRUARY 17--This country, as you know, is filled with the deranged. And then there's Travis Frey, a 33-year-old Iowa man who is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife (not to mention a separate child pornography rap). Frey, prosecutors contend, apparently is a rather demanding guy. In fact, he actually drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document--a "Contract of Wifely Expectations"--that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. >[link]
On behalf of intelligent men everywhere, I just want to disavow any association with this cro-magnon....wait, I apologize to the cro-magnons.
Andi suggests duct-taping him to a chair at the next F2F and leaving him to the board...
One of the local radio stations had a lot of fun with that "contract." They had callers call in and make of list of "husbandly expectations," instead. It definitely kept me amused on the morning drive to work.
I have in mind that all the dangerous Buffista women will chuckle in a low-throated evil chuckle as they walk past him. Someone will have to tell him just how dangerous they are, of course. Icing on the cake will be ita's light-hearted, light-toned snorfle of "that bug is too tiny to squash" laughter in his general direction. In my mind, this will show him the puny-ness of his insignificant person compared to the splendor of true womanhood.
In my mind? Very little overlap with reality.
Dude, crime really *did* make him stupid.
Anyone up? After falling asleep on the couch at 9:15, I woke up at 10 and went to bed. Now, of course, I can't sleep. Blech.
I'm here, but it's not that late for a Mountain Time weekend. And I'm a slut, but y'all knew that before I did.
I'm so glad I get to meet your sluttiness in SF! I can't wait!
Plus, Robert Donat.
Robert's nephew Peter made a splendid Oberon in ACT's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, longer ago than I'd care to say -- I was in high school when I saw it.
He (Peter) was also an excellent neighbour to my grandmother (he lived in West Marin for years), and he's been very kind to my family at various times.
edited to add: Heh. If the SF F2F turns into a celebration of erika's sluttiness, I want front-row seats.
