I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out. And I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thanks for the advice, Trudy Booth and Cass. I'll heed the feline and romantic wisdom.

It's true, I do go a bit overboard early on in my relationships (I probably shouldn't even be considering it a 'relationship' at this point, either). I have a tendancy to go all "She likes me! She likes me! Let's get married and love each other forever and ever!" *Ahem*

Also, Cass, I'm a bit flattered anyone is following the progress of my infatuation. Thank you.

If anyone cares, the cuddling that Cass referred to has taken place, I've met Gramma, Mom and Mom's boyfriend; they all approve. Flowers have been delivered and received well by all (most importantly, her). Things are strangely comfortable with her (compared to previous umfriends) -- we talk about all sorts of things quite easily. So, I'm trying to go with the flow (which is what all of my friends-who-are-girls keep telling me) and trying not to overanalyze things and make sure we communicate well and understand each other.

Trust my rage

There ought to be a law against being sick when your kids are sick. It's such a battle every time I have to wipe her nose.

I miss our bug too. I was thinking about her last night as I was lying awake feeling like crap with a worse feeling baby.

eta: Boy, this post was really all. about. me. I'm too hopped up on cold medicine to think properly. I guess I should add that I was hoping Val is getting good care and hopefully they are figuring stuff out.

I can't keep up. What's her status? Last I heard she was having fainting spells and going to the hospital.

Probably others know more than I, but she was having seizures and is in the hospital until they figure out how to stop them.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Yep, that sums it up. They haven't figured out how to stop them yet.

I agree with everyone else who says no kitty yet. Pets are a very personal gift and I would hesitate to get one for someone I'd known a long time.

IBabyN, Aidan just recognized the written numbers between 1 and 10. I had no idea he could do that. He's also using more sentences correctly. Yesterday I found a piece of a duplo car that he was looking for and put it together and he said, "Oh! You found it!" which is pretty darn clear and appropriate.

Yesterday, Kara asked me how she was supposed to believe in Jesus if she can't see him. It's a fair question I haven't figured out quite how to answer yet.

Oh, and I think I forgot to mention this. We let her watch Jurassic Park a couple of weeks ago. At the end, when the t-rex breaks into the building and eats the raptor, she screamed, clapped and said, "Oh, I LOVE a happy ending!"

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go, Aidan! Kara continues to make me smile with her unique view of the world.

Hey sj! How are you? What's up with the new possible apartment?

Laura - Mar 25, 2006 4:47:59 am PST #5312 of 10001
Our wings are not tired.

They totally screwed up her chemical balance when they gave her steroids for asthma. Granted, breathing was a plus. They damned well figure it all out and get her functioning properly pronto or there's going to be a Bitch ass kicking contingent headed to her hospital.

Sorry for the snottyness Stephanie. Blech.

How are you?

Freaking out a bit.

What's up with the new possible apartment?

I don't want to talk about details about it until it is ours. We should know by Monday.
