I'm not sure if this fits are not. We were watching wilde tonight. Not a great movie, but I did learn where "the carrot that dare not speak its name" came from.
Apropos of nothing, one of my brothers keeps calling me Wildebeest. Another calls me Wilbur, and the last one calls me BillyBob, so there's probably not too much to read into that.
None of them opted for Wee Willy Winky?
None of them opted for Wee Willy Winky?
Funnily enough, no.
I just called the Wallybee from work. I woke her up, she was having a nap after both her assignments today turned out to be cancelled (after she turned up). She still gets paid for them, but she prefers actually doing something for it. From this we conclude two things:
1. I'm a naughty penguin; and
2. She sounds adorable when sleepy. I may have to start calling her at 1 in the morning just to listen to her again.
I'm breezing through the couple of weeks I missed here and read:
and I would have left early to see you!
So you'll leave work early for MG, but when I came to town you went to Michigan? Repeatedly. Sheesh, Aimee. No wonder I moved to Portland.
I've a massive headache and a low supply of meds. Trying to be sleepy intstead.
Damn that billytea for making stuff seem dirty.
Yeah, it's like he's the only one around here that does that.
I had to change the radio station yesterday. There was an interview with a preacher on behalf of those who are trying to push the "Defense of Marraige Amendment" to the Minnesota state constitution.
He was a real brimstone inflected preacher-type who pronounced "God" with four letters...
Happy Birthday, Raq!! Hope it's a nice, relaxing one.
Probably not the four I'm thinking of.
Happy birthday Raq, happy late birthdays to Mal and to Pete.
Glad Cass is safely in Portland.
I am home from the UK, and have amazingly been able to skim rather than skip the messages in Bitches. Currently I am trying also to catch up on work.
Hec, job~ma.
I drank a lot of different real (cask-conditioned) ales while in St. Andrews, Edinburgh, and London. I tried not to repeat but I did end up doing so the last day. I have a list of ales drunk and pubs where the drinking occured, and some pub pictures yet to be developed.
There was also some family stuff, some fun (pub time with Tom's dad in London, hanging out with his friends our last night) some not so fun (a good 65% of the time spent with Tom's mom), and some OK (the other 35% of the time spent with Tom's mom, and the informational visit with the doctor.)
We spent a lot of time on planes (Boston-London, London-Edinburgh) and trains (Edinburgh-St. Andrews, assorted Tube travel). Logistically everything worked out very well, I highly recommend Virigin Atlantic for international travel. Tired and zonked. Should do some work.
