Hi All. CJ and I have had a sick day at home. We have finally made it out of bed and are now watching movies and slugging about in the family room. Meh - I want to go back to bed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hec, I'm sorry to hear about your layoff. If you're interested in staying with legal firms, I've seen lots of those jobs about. So that's good anyway. And at least you have leeway to collect unemployment if they lay you off rather than them driving you to quit.
I read all the posts but my teeny brain has already forgotten so much so ~ma to all who need it. (I think Matt needed jobma, hein?)
Luckily, I remembered suddenly that Piedmont Adult School's registration starts today so I got into their Career & Life Planning Workshop for Women, which sold out last time. Now if only Berkeley Adult School's A+ Certification classes were happening earlier than May...
I don't *WANT* to be responsible and buy groceries.
I want to buy stuff from Old Navy. And eBay. And I want new make-up.
And I want new make-up.
Perhaps some face cream for hookers?
I want all new clothes. And shoes. And liposuction.
Instead I'll spend about $100 or more at PetSmart for the beasties then stop at Super Target for groceries and then the remainder of my riches will likely go toward the mortgage.
Being an adult is HARD.
Hec, I had skipped - so sorry about the layoff. I'll have to suck to get details, but I expect that they, too, suck.
Why, oh, why did I let CJ have next pick for a movie. The Grinch is wearing on my fragile nerves. I may be headed back to bed.
Perhaps some face cream for hookers?
YES THIS!
Hec, I know you're rather have a blessing that's not in such a good disguise, but I'm glad you're getting away from that place. I hope Matt's interview went well. Here's to better jobs for everyone.
I really, truly worked on my taxes most of the day yesterday, and I'm nowhere near done. Taxes are the dark side of self-employment.
Bleagh. Headaches starting again. This morning was my 3rd visit to that doctor's office. They gave me a prescription for Flexoril. They suspect the RSI combined with the layoff stress might be causing the headaches. if this doesn't work, they're sending me to a neurologist. Which I really hope doesn't happen.
eta: You're sure headaches aren't some Buffista rite of passage?
matt's interview did go well. It all seems very interesting at the moment. We shall see where it goes. It is with a consulting firm - so there are some possiblities of no work, but benifits would still be there. and he could get into a mega commute situation. But good benifits, oppertunities to learn more stuff, do more stuff, less company politics - those are good things.
ION, it is icky, rainy, and cold . Going to work tonight does not sound like fun.
