billytea, go team Wally with the vacationing-together-ness! Nice one. Any chance she might make it to the UK, if you do do the UK-in-the-summer thing? 'Cause that would rock...
It might be more likely than her getting into the US. You wouldn't happen to know, off the top of your head, whether the UK requires a visa for Chinese citizens, would you?
Ugh. Gronk. Four hours of sleep is not enough.
I am pretty sure they do, bt. The US Embassy in Beijing makes appointments, and issues student, tourist, etc. [link]
The US consulate in Aus has a page, too; while I assume most of their info applies mostly to Australian citizens, you culd call them to find out more. [link]
Not in the shower. Haven't walked the dog. Doesn't look like I'm going to get to work on time. Bad vw. No cookie.
vw, I thought you were off this week?
Just from school...not work. I wish I was. I could have used the week off. It's been a hella week.
Just took a painkiller. That's not gonna help with the getting moving.
now, is ginger Snaps a real horror movie or can I watch it at night?
You can totally watch it at night.
I didn't find Gingersnaps particularly scary. I liked it a lot, but not because of any scare factor.
I, too, wish I was going to the F2F. Both for the meeting all the nifty folks factor and now the potential getting made over factor. Ah well. This is what I get for chosing getting a couch and paying off debt over fun social stuff.
Someone mentioned dying eyelashes upthread. Is this particularly difficult or expensive? No matter how allegedly waterproof or smearproof mascara is, it always ends up under my eyes halfway through the day. So dying my light, light brown lashes would be great. They're long--they just about touch my glasses--but no one can see them because they pretty much match my skin.
I need to get mine done again - generally I've found the only places that do it are fairly upscale salons, but it's not an expensive treatment itself. I love it - my eyelashes are really pale as well, and when I used to get it done regularly (which = every 6 weeks or so) she'd use a blue black that meant I could roll out of bed and still look a bit put together.
