I would PAY you to do this for me.
Teppy, my dove, didn't you realize you are on the list of people who don't have a choice about this? That I have been plotting to dress you up for a while now?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Really? Eeee! No, I had no idea! (I feel like Charlie Brown, in the Xmas special, when Lucy asks him to be the director of the play, and he gets this googly-eyed look of joy and says "ME?!? You want ME to direct the play?")
I have no clue what I'm wearing to the prom. I don't think it's going to be a dress; I haven't worn a skirt since 1998, when I left the corporate world.
I did just go for a color and cut. I have been going to the same salon forever, or rather I've followed my good friend the stylist from salon to salon forever. The salon now has a person who does facials and manicures and the like, and my friend said, "While your color's on, why don't you get Isabelle to do your eyebrows?" She threaded my eyebrows and dyed my eyebrows and eyelashes. OMG, I look like 400% better. Now I'm never doing my own eyebrows again. Also, my hair is now even redder.
Jilli, will you do makeup? All nice and smokey eyes??

I'll help with makeup, but I have to warn everyone that I am not good at doing smokey eyes. Every time I try it on myself, I end up looking like a happy panda.
threaded my eyebrows
This sounds painful, is it? I'm thinking I may need to get myself all appointmented up at my daughter's salon so I can come all pampered to the Prom. I will not get a pedicure, though, so I can hang with the folks going to Deb's favorite place for that.
It wasn't painful at all, Sail, because it's incrediably quick. It feels more like something is vibrating your eyebrows, not pulling them out.
Threading was a lot less painful than plucking and waxing, IMO.
I'm not even sure my daughter's salon offers threading, I figure she would have mentioned it if they did. I'll have to ask her. Shows you how much I care about these kinds of things. As much as I like to dress up, I'm really not much of a girlie girl, sigh.
You can tell how much a girly-girl I am by the fact that I am astonished by the effects of paying someone else to do grooming things. I have had my eyelashes dyed before, because they are stubby and pale things, but the rest is all new to me.
