'Dirty Girls'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So....has anyone had anything *good* happen to them lately? Because it seems like Perpetual Existential Rain Of Toads is falling upon the Bitches.

I think I dropped about five pounds with my sweating/coughing/no-eating diet?

I made a fair amount of money at the gothy rummage sale this past weekend, does that count?

Got a raise and bonus yesterday. Well, got told how much they will be anyway, I haven't actually seen the cash.

Oh! And I got my dog back after nearly 3 weeks at my dad's, which I'm actually far more excited about.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have finally started working out on a regular basis, and find I have more energy, which is much needed and appreciated. I also find I might actually have a tricep muscle (which I thought had become jello due to years of disuse) and that's kinda cool.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aimee, hit him where it hurts - sell something of his to pay for new keys.

Make it something really good, and get those shoes for your IT gal.

vw, I thpppppbt in the general direction of the triage nurse and the doctor who is not calling you back. ~ma for betterness.

Good things? I am drinking sugar free hot chocolate.

My boss just brought me cheese fries. That is a good thing.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ummm... this morning I had a blood draw, and I neither cried nor punched anyone nor lurched up out of my chair and fled out the door (all of which I have done in the past). Also, on Saturday I found an ungodly gorgeous vintage dress. Not in the least a sexy dress, but cuter than a boxful of buttons, fits me like a slightly roomy glove (i.e., I can not only wear it, I can wear it and go out and eat an actual meal without splitting a seam), fits over my extra-big crinolines perfectly, and only $34.

Also, Jess has cute hair today, Fay's haircut rocks, ita has a 3-day migraine-smiting success record, and hot cocoa is happening somewhere in Minnesota. All of which make me very very happy, though truthfully I really just want to go home and pet my new dress.

eta: Forgot to mention the orgasm and the cheese fries -- still not as good as the dress, but mighty delightful.

I found a wee froggie inside my car door frame yesterday. It was adorable, and I set it free in the shrubby area next to the parking lot--not too far from a swamp. I doubt it would have enjoyed my office complex quite as much.

I got new black flats on super-reduced sale for $6 yesterday.

I got a short spring haircut on my lunch hour today.

I found a cool job to apply for in the city that I wanted to live in when I was 12. (Traverse City, MI--hey, at 12 I had no idea that I could move to New York or Geneva.)

My manager just lent me My Neighboro Totoro.
