Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I haven't had a migraine that hasn't responded to meds in three and a half days. I fought black belt candidates in their black belt test and acquitted myself without shame. I'm going to eat goat on Saturday. My sweater rocks.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So....has anyone had anything *good* happen to them lately? Because it seems like Perpetual Existential Rain Of Toads is falling upon the Bitches.

I had nummy raw oysters and clams and wine last night at Oyster Bar. And um, my hair looks really good today.

(I'm also over my cold, but it doesn't really count because my allergies stepped in to take over the Clogging Jess' Nose duties. So kind of them, really.)

I think I had an orgasm in my sleep the other day.

Aimee wins.

TV news psychic

Thanks for all the greetings. This is why I lurk. I only have internet access at work and sometimes work wants me to work while I'm here.

Wishing all who need it lots of health-ma. And better-life-ma to anyone who needs that.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Hmm, think I'll get into the line of "good things waiting to happen," because I'm sure they will if I wait long enough (and/or I make accidents happen to all the people in line ahead of me, thus moving me up in line a tad quicker; it might require ita's assistance.)

Lord, how I adore strong women

Hee. Reminds me of a card my cousin got for my aunt. It said, "Women are like tea; you never know how strong they are until you put them in hot water." So true.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think I dropped about five pounds with my sweating/coughing/no-eating diet?

I made a fair amount of money at the gothy rummage sale this past weekend, does that count?

Got a raise and bonus yesterday. Well, got told how much they will be anyway, I haven't actually seen the cash.

Oh! And I got my dog back after nearly 3 weeks at my dad's, which I'm actually far more excited about.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have finally started working out on a regular basis, and find I have more energy, which is much needed and appreciated. I also find I might actually have a tricep muscle (which I thought had become jello due to years of disuse) and that's kinda cool.
