Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
From earlier, chiming in with agree-age on:
I, and every other woman who used to be a teenage girl thank you and apologize.
You rock, MG.
I've been swearing at travel sites all day. Trying to get my sister out here to visit, and sites keep saying "Oh yeah, here's a good price...but PSYCH! not for those dates! Or any other."
Ok Raq, make the tears fall again, would ya?!?!?
I only got 3 hours sleep and today is going to be a "put one foot in front of the other" type day.
Fire bad. Tree pretty.
Yeah, that works too.
I add another part to that.
fire bad. tree pretty. beer foamy.
Dh got up at 4 so my head is all messed up from strange sleep. however, despite the weather prediction, it is sunny. I'll take it.
MG someday the girls will thank you, even if they never use the words.
G'morning.
I just wish there was a fucking manual for this shite.
It's really too bad that you won't get to meet my mom, then. At least the two of you could commiserate.
MG someday the girls will thank you, even if they never use the words
Or this.
I was up in Seattle, seeing Plei and Jilli and Princess Tickybox and Pete and Paul. It was very fun.
I'd be envious, but....
Not only did I meet Juliana, I frolicked with her in a mineral-spring fed pool and hot tub and then slept next to her for two nights!
I got to do this, but with Kristin! Whee!!
Wow. Someone tell me why I had never seen Stage Beauty before tonight.
You didn't listen to me? I squee'd about it from the first time I saw it, which was a bit before wide release. The playwright/screenwriter is/was a friend of mine, and I adore anything Jeff does. The movie actually tightens a few things up from the play.
{{{vw}}} Love you, and yes, get some Gatorade and bananas.
fire bad. tree pretty. beer foamy.
If I weren't at work...beer would be quite foamy.
MG someday the girls will thank you, even if they never use the words.
One maybe, the other - I don't know. There is more left to play out tonight, so we will see.
It's really too bad that you won't get to meet my mom, then. At least the two of you could commiserate.
I'm so bummed on so many levels. I don't really have anyone to talk to other than my mom and she is so close to the current situation that it makes it hard.
vw, seconding the potassium causes weird muscle aches thing. Other options include orange juice, milk, apricots, peaches, peas, tomatoes - Ooooooh, if you happen by chance to run into it, Low-Sodium V-8 juice is A-freakin-mazing for potassium deficiency - it has the potassium from the tomatoes and other veggies, plus uses potassium chloride in place of sodium chloride for flavoring.
FTR, Gatorade tends to have 35-50mg per (8oz?) serving. By the time I get to the muscle ache stage, it would take several kegs to do the trick for me. On the other hand, used in conjunction with other high-potassium items, it does very nicely for keeping all electrolytes in balance, so by all means, include it in your day.
In re the sinus-clearing thingies - my ENT will mix up some warm salt water and use a great big syringe thing (without a needle) to shoot the stuff up one nostril, through my sinuses, and out the other side. I've found something called "SaltAire" which does much the same thing at home - comes in a plastic bottle with a pump on the side which puts some pressure behind it. It's remarkably unpleasant, and I do get salt water draining down the back of my throat for quite a while, but it's a big help when I'm congested. I'd swear I've fended off sinus infections by using the stuff.
I have got the world's best doctor. The pharmacy keeps screwing up my Celexa prescription, so she called in the new prescription today for the right dosage and for them to dispense 3 months worth up front as long as my insurance will allow it.
{{MG}} It gets better, eventually, and not nearly as soon as you'd like it, but it does. I didn't have my daughter from 13-17, but I inherited what everyone else screwed up and it is possible to (hee) unscrew it. It just takes time.
Very envious of all the travellers who got to spend time with farflung (to them) Buffistas. I just keep reminding myself that May is only 2 months away, now.
Thanks Sail. There are just so many issues flying right now I can barely think straight. I've taken to making lists. People who know me, know this can be dangerous.
May - only 2 months...ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Music to my ears.
Vacation in 77 hours sounds even better. *flounces off*
