And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Appears C's mom has Hep C.

Oh, yipes!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Great quote, tommyrot.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The federal government is stupid and they suck.

MG, I'm sorry.

{{{juliana}}} I am sorry. I will be thinking of you on Oscar night.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Mmmm, chocolate.

Thanks, y'all. Spidra, would you mind sending an email to my profile addy? I don't know if I'll be up for it, but it sounds like fun.

Oh, MG. C doesn't really need that, poor thing.

Thanks all. C's mom is a nice gal, for the most part. I feel awful though there isn't anything I can do to help.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Mornin All.

Fortunately, I'm going to Trader Joe's later, and they have chocolate-covered peanut butter-filled pretzels. So far, this is the only bright spot in my day.

Was thinking of hitting TJ's tonight. Steph, I think, has given me a strong shove in that direction.

{{{Allyson}}}, so sorry.

I'm sorry, are you from the past?

Love this. Soooo much.

I'm going to eat chocolate and avoid all human contact.

This sounds like a damn fine plan. Doesn't sound like my plan, unfortunately. Enjoy, Steph!

cass, The Body Shop for old cell phones. All the stores take them during one specific month (which one? can't tell ya), but the manager at the UTC store told me she can take them all year ('cuz she has a bit of space she can store them in). So UTC Body Shop if you can't find like Junior Women's League or someone. (Hmm. Haven't seen cass this morn. Should probably just email. Duh.)

Always Anti-fascist!

Oh, sj, are we having States The Obvious Day again?(/House) More seriously, this is an issue of some political conflict for me, because not long ago I got e-mail from somebody who "used to be a Democrat" about that. And I'm still a Dem, and in my way, believe very strongly in government social programs. But I still sometimes wish they'd, well, cut the crap. Make a real committment to treat everybody involved with some dignity and respect. I hope y'all don't think that means I believe that bootstrap bullshit, because I hate it and when I hear it from somebody I usually know I hate them, too. But I hate feeling like I'm in The Box filling out paperwork just as much.
