I love many things about LiT beyond reason.
As do I. I'm a little irrational about it, actually.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Put a brown paper bag over it, and then run a hot iron over the bag. It melts the wax into the bag. Granted, you may have to use several bags, as the wax soaks into the bag, but it really does work.Huzzah! And answers the "paper or plastic?" question nicely too. Tomorrow I grocery shop.
Stalactites come down from the ceiling; stalagmites come up from the floor.First guess of the stalagmite was right.
I had dinner at the Monkey Noodle Bar in North Beach! Nummy goodness. Then dessert at the Steps of Rome. More nummy. THEN K-Bug bought fudge at some yummy candy store - I have not broken into the stash yet, but it pleases me greatly.
Juliana is quite the sweet hostess, giving us the tour of her nabe. She also got the full K-Bug and me show - I think she survived. I hope she survived.

I think you and I have had one or two "get out of my head" exchanges about LiT. It was very comforting to me to find someone else who just loved it passionately and related to it so much.
My Dobie died so, per Mr. Clean's explicit instructions, when I used the Magic Eraser to wipe of my dishes I rinsed them thoroughly.
Duuuuuude.
This Magic Eraser talk has inspired me to dig ours out from the Museum of Cool Cleaning Products (otherwise known as under the kitchen sink) and clean up any stray dirt streaks tomorrow. Today I did all the laundry, scrubbed the bathtub, vaccumed the house and shampooed all the carpets. The house is still untidy, but the carpet doesn't look like it should be in the lobby of an urban bus station, which is very gratifying.
Do they sell these things at Costco? I think they should sell these things at Costco.
Deena, what a darling house! It's so fresh and clean without being boring post-war tract housing. What neighborhood is it in?
Andi, it's in South Euclid, only 9 blocks from the school I wanted and about 6 blocks from one of the branch libraries Greg works at. No more hour-long commutes for him!
I am so buying a dozen of those magic erasers tomorrow. We have to get the house cleaned up so we can give notice.
Deena, what a cute house! Congratulations!!
Thanks, sumi! I'm so excited.
