'Shells'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When I was laid off, my boss had forgotten that I was leaving early that day to go to the airport to go on vacation for 2 weeks. I had to come back after my vacation to get all my stuff.

move out and draw fire

the second editor said “No! What are they going to do about customer service now?”

Maybe the editor meant that you are wonderful and irreplaceable?

I'm just trying to play against my standard (bitter and cynical) type.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Perhaps she did. But both were demonstrating some very bad manners by inviting one laid off worker to a lavish lunch right in front of another laid off worker. They should have gone to his cube and asked him discreetly.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Not enough Polish people in LA, dammit. I miss Paczkis.

I found out that there are TWO polish restaurants in LA. No polish bakeries or places to get fresh kielbasa.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I left work after two hours with the Cold From Hell (or maybe the flu, not sure). I have taken DayQuil, am in my jammies and am shortly going to watch something fluffy on TV.

ETA: Spidra, that is deeply rude on their part.

I hope you feel better, Robin. At least jammies, fluffy and bed sound good.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The Polski withdrawl is hysterical.
