Bad night for the Bitches.
lisah, I'm so sorry. Many thoughts and prayers going out to you and yours.
meara, how scary for Minnesota!Girl! I'm glad she's ok.
I got up early to finish my math. Unfortunately, I didn't give myself enough time before Emily left, and now I'm stuck with questions. Oh, well. Guess I'll turn it in tomorrow. My prof has been really good about giving me little extensions to get caught up.
I'm nervous about today. I'm heading back into the real world. And kind of throwing myself back in. My day starts with a meeting with my Independent Study professor (the one that's the incomplete) at 9am. Then I've got class from 10:30-1:30. Then tutoring from 2:30-3:15. Then a meeting with another professor from 3:15-4. Gonna be a LONG, crazy day. I hope I make it ok.
Where is everyone today? No one to chat with this morning...I'm actually having to do work! Horrors!
I too am avoidong work, vw. I'm supposed to be heading in to do some lab work, but I don't WANNA.
Let us procrastinate together!
Wooo! A procrastination pal! How fabulous!
How are you Jars? Cooked anything fun from the cookbook yet?
I'm sitting in class, waiting for my Music exam to start.
Good luck, DebetEsse!
I'm off! Have a good day, everyone!
She's instant messaging you from INSIDE YOUR HOUSE.
Hee. Have we seen this? [link]
OMG. My commute in makes me feel like I'm ready to go back home and pass out. TOO COLD. Be careful out there, vw, it's the coldest it's been all season, they say. 8 degrees and -10 degrees wind chill.
The commuter train was late, and crowded. I figured, once getting into Boston, it would be best to just head to the T, because I figured I'd be shut out of my shuttle due to all the spots being taken or just plain missing it, timewise. North Station to Park Street. Get to Park Street, there was a disabled train somewhere to the north (the direction I was headed) and approximately eleventy bazillion people waiting on the platform. A train arrived about 15 minutes later. Couldn't get on. Another packed train arrived 10 minutes after that. held my breath, sucked in my gut, and forced my way on. Got to my office. Server won't let me log on. It's not yet 9am. I have 11 more hours in my day, including schlepping out west to Chestnut Hill for class tonight (~45-60 minute commute). Want to go home. It's too cold for these shenanigans!
Best wishes for meara's umfriend.
Timelies, all.
I'm sitting in the overheated library, contemplating coffee. Taught one class already, have two more to go, then a tutoring session, then studying. Such is my day. If I have time afterwards, I might go skating, but I have a feeling that, by the time I'm done studying, I'm not going to feel like getting changed and walking over to the rink. (I went skating on Saturday, and it was a lot of fun, plus way more relaxing than just about anything I've done in the past month.)
