No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Together are Seth and Ryan fated to be, hmmm?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Catching up on BBF, they're having a conversation like we had in Natter the other day on grammar/spelling issues

WHY did they have to have this conversation while I was gone? Trying to find actual recs in the NINE MILLION STUPID NITPICKY AND OFTEN INCORRECT POSTS ABOUT GRAMMAR is driving me a little bonkers.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

There were like, three. You want I should track 'em down for you?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

And the curriculum for CA schools, which is pretty much irrelevant. Although, I bookmarked some excellent sites for reference when writing, so it wasn't a total waste (not waist.)

Nah, I'm through most of the posts. It's just funny that I've been in fandom so long (it seems) that arguments about nitpicks irritate me more than the actual nitpicks.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I wish there was a digest just for the recs. Hell, just for the links--I don't want to know what people think about the stories. It's been a long, long time since I read really good BtVS fic.

Welcome home, Dana.

Well, you can always go to the bookmarks section, which gets updated pretty often.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks! Glad I got to see you.

I am busily pursuing one of my new obsessions, House fanfic. Especially since I haven't caught up on any of my TV yet.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If you go to the posts from the yahoo groups site, you can pretty easily skip the ones you don't care about. Personally, I do look for the posts seconding a rec - some of the recs are pretty iffy, so I usually skip the inital rec and just check things out if a handful of people (or someone I know and respect) confirm that it's worth checking out.

With you on the nitpicky conversations being as painful as the badfic. And yet I couldn't resist a response to that kind of whacked-out post about high schools. (Which I think was from the same person who started the grammar talk, too.)

She's one of the mods, and posted the original list with the intent to drum up converstation. Which, obviously, worked.
