And Pagan just pulled out "The Lurkers Support Me in E-mail."
I think we're done.
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Dana, thanks for pointing me over here for the HP fic recs--I've got them bookmarked! Now, another request for recs, this time for non-slash HP fic, or for HP slash where the relationship isn't too explicit, as in Lust over Pendle, or is in the background to some good plotting/adventure/suspense.
I'm trying to sell a HP-obsessed friend of mine on fanfic, and she refuses to acknowledge the existence of slash (even when it's pretty obvious, as in the movie of PoA).
The Bloody Stare of Mars by Yahtzee.
A Small Truce, by Marina Frants.
a spirit of brotherhood, by torch.
Those are some longer plottier ones.

Is it wrong that I can't wait to get home from work and read this?
Lyra Jane! OMG at your tag! Hee hee hee!
Ah. Buffy stuff. You know my favorite part of any onlist argument? A: "Look, folks, just take it to private email." B: "Yeah, what she said, stop talking about it already!" C: "No kidding, I am so tired of getting these emails in my box." B: "Why can't you people just stop already?" A: "SHUT UP! I really mean it!"
I've gone over to the, if not dark, at least dimly-lit side. I'm reading Harry Potter slash. But, as with each new fandom, only the good stuff this time!
Yeah, we'll see how long that lasts. But there's some pretty awesome Remus/Sirius stuff out there. Ah, tragic love.

Thank you! I got it by wading deep in the murky waters at fanfic_hate. Apparently it's the opening to a Godawful LotRiPS story; the poster said who the "Pussyboy" was, but I don't remember.
If y'all didn't notice, Minnow posted two more of her post-Not Fade Away stories yesterday. Read 'em while they're hot.
One more to come.
Now Pagan pulled out the Holocaust on BBF.
No, really, this time we're done.
I think you're never going to be done, Dana.
