the last we saw (sort of) of Buffy was the third-to-last ep, "The Girl in Question." She's in Rome, apparently having a fling thing with a guy called "The Immortal." Depending on how important she is to your story, you might look for a transcript.
Last we heard
about the rest of the gang is mostly from Andrew in the ep "Damage." Xander was in Africa, I think; Willow and Kennedy were in South America somewhere; Dawn's in school in Rome; Andrew is also in Rome.

is in Italy, dating the Immortal (which is about all we know about him).
