I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

I'm just disturbed by the mobility of body parts that should be, um, really not under their own control.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Please tell me that this person's first language isn't English.

Um.

I'm guessing this is the most appropriate place for this.

Yesterdays Toronto Star had an article with references to various M.E. shows - including a sample by "Cousinjean".

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

My god, a relatively respectful article about fic! Will wonders never cease?

Although I have never heard of this Bardsmaid individual. Must be someone who came up in the fandom after I bailed.

Bardsmaid did a lot of Conspiracy-oriented Krycek-centered stuff before you bailed; the shift to Mulder surprises me.

I haven't read her fiction, but I've seen her participate in XF discussion with Pteropod and Vanzetti.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

In case anyone was worried:

She understood how the small Monarchy of Prince Michael’s sovereignty was such a well run Utopia to this date, for Michael was after all an upstanding individual. And she learned that the United Nations’ Armageddon Committee hands down chose the young handsome Prince to Rule the Planet in case of a debacle of this magnitude.

United Nations’ Armageddon Committee

Somehow I don't believe that committee will be listed in the official register.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

He's been chosen to Rule the Planet?

Dude. I had no idea the United Nations did things like that. Are there black helicopters, too?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It struck me today that I would love to see a vid set to "Smack My Bitch Up" with scenes of women fighting. Aeryn to Zoe ... Buffy, Justine, Faith, Fred, Illyria, River, Amanda, Amanda Carter ... pretty much guaranteed to make me cry.

Have you seen any of P.R. Roach's stuff? She likes vids with women fighting.
