This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Should we start a Batman thread? Somewhat serious --there really isn't a good place for it, and (while the fandom sounds all kinds of awesome, and I wish I had time to get involved in it) it does seem to be generating a lot of posts right now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most comics discussion goes in Jossverse.

And a Batman thread doesn't do that much for the Nightwing lovers, strictly.

Now that I no longer hang out in a comic store day in and day out, I've gotten behind. So, Nightwing is following in Batman's crazy footsteps? Well, I suppose it's to be expected, considering who raised Dick Grayson. Still, I love the way the DC comicverse always twitches when any of the Bat-gang is around.

Is Joker still around? Still hobbling around on his shot-up knee? (shouldn't be a spoiler, because that happened years ago)

The Joker will always be around. I don't think he was hobbling when he tortured Lex in The Outsiders. (Nightwing's following Bats in more ways than just crazy).

That was what I thought, but I was wondering if I was wrong.

No big.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And a Batman thread doesn't do that much for the Nightwing lovers, strictly.

This is why comics are confusing and headache-inducing.

Hmm. And now I feel guilty because I can't stop babbling about comics. I feel like I need to write a livejournal post where I promise not to let comics fandom devour me from my bottom, or something...

Edited to say that, obviously, that's my weird thing, and yeah, shutting up now.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Vandal Savage is in 1602? How? He's a DC character.

And there we show how little I know about these comicverses. Who's the dude with the mirrors, and the pointy goatee, then?

SA, he's Dr. Stephen Strange.

Thanks to you crackheads, I went to Half-Price Books at lunch and happened to find Nightwing: Ties That Bind. And so I bought it.
