We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

but I just saw Buffista used a a generic term for "Buffy fan" on BBF, by someone whose user name I don't recognize

Huh. That wouldn't give me a fuzzy, it would annoy me. Because dood, we're the Buffistas. Not just any old Buffy fans are Buffistas.

But that may just be me being territorial. I hear there's a treatment for that...

Up with the sun

I feel like you know you're successful when people start using your name as a generic. It would probably be less appealing if I were more Buffista Island-y.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, they may very well have made the term up themselves.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Hey, are there any sizable, open archives for Firefly fanfic out there? I've got a friend who just finished her first story in the fandom, and she was asking.

Um, yeah, Katie. I think one of the listmods at GlassOnion runs it. It's on that populli server. If you scout around any of the recs archives you can probably find links to stories on that archive.
