Thanks for all the fish.

Can anyone remind me how I turn off the stupid curly quotes in Word?

Because they'll fuck me over when I try to post on BFA, right?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Version?

It should be in your autoformat options, no matter the version.

Format > AutoFormat > Options, clear the Smart Quotes box.

Thanks for all the fish.

Done. Will curly quotes screw me when I post to BFA?

Curly quotes are not your friend in fic posting, I have found. Sometimes they show up as little boxes or something.

IIRC, yes.

Do a search and replace (CTRL + H) for " and ', replacing them with themselves, save out as text, and you should be golden.

Thanks for all the fish.

Tried that, said there was nothing to replace.... I'll try again.

It should be able to replace all quotes, though.

Hmm. What's your version?

Copy one of the quotes that is curly, paste it into the find field, and see if that works. I've had to do that for other things.

Thanks for all the fish.

Good, I'll try that...

Better than doing it by hand.

Oh, sniffle. More from Huzzlewhat, who's doing marvelous things with Xander. Sneaky and heartbreaking.
