an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Always Anti-fascist!

I don't know who she is...we don't have the same fandoms, but I'm sure I'd be envious.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

By comparison to Speranza, I am scribbling with broken crayons on flattened paperbags.

Hell, by comparison, I'm making noise on a Speak'n'Spell.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

erika, I fell in love with Speranza's Due South stories without having ever seen the show. So it is possible.

Always Anti-fascist!

I have seen it a few times years ago. Wasn't it on the same night as Northern Exposure?

erika -- "Chicago's Most Wanted" for a taste that most people who haven't actually seen the show like. (And people who have seen the show go nuts over.)

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I started with Chicago's Most Wanted. I really wish the show were still on tv somewhere in the States, as I'd love to see it, now.

Of course, I would probably be a little disappointed at the lack of overt HoYay.
