I'm having an alarmingly clear visual of Buffy coming home and finding Mr Pointy's point in contact with Mr Gordo's crouch, and wondering what moment of insanity led her to leave them like that...
The question, Anne, would be to think of four other things that never happened... it's possible, though. Mr Gordo never went out on patrol with Buffy; Mr Gordo never got kidnapped by Drusilla; he never got left behind when they moved from LA to Sunnydale; he never fell in love with Mr Pointy; and he never crossed over with Toy Story 2.

Er. Okay. This isn't about fanfic, but this seemed like the wisest place to ask for help.
Any pointers to places to go where the Explanation Of Why Presenting Songvids To Actors Is A Bad Idea is nicely summarized? It's second-hand, and frankly I'm not going to search out the people in question (some sort of a best-vid contest apparently) to scold them because I'm not that proactive, but a newish vidder on my friendslist mentioned it in an approving tone and I want to do a little, er, gentle education.
