I just wanted to congratulate Shrift on a cracking story. S/X was what got me into fan fiction in the first place and reading Loserville was like a flashback to that first flush of fandom love. Cheers!

Green meteor rock! Ooops, wrong fandom. Magic animating doohickey is always possible, though... a demon dropped it, Buffy picked it up, left it on her bedside table, went off to school, Mr Gordo opened his eyes and...
It might work as a vignette in a "5 things that never happened to Mr. Gordo" story.
