"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

where's the title from, anyway?

I have no idea. It's probably a word-wrong riff on something from a children's rhyme, or some doggerel, but I can't pinpoint it.

Well, thank you all for your praise; although, from what I'm seeing, "best Firefly fanfic" is like saying fastest tricycle, because, you know, show three weeks old and inane sex stories about characters we hardly know predominant.

What have you all found? Firefly's Glow is the only dedicated fic archive I've found so far. Which, considering the three weeks old part, is actually more than I expected.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm really and truly impressed, Nutty.

Don't knock it, Nutty -- get in on the ground floor and you get to establish fanon. Three years from now everyone's gonna be trying to figure out where the disembowelment motif came from... *grin*

Thanks for all the fish.

Nutty, that fic is just plain good. And it will still be good even when there are untold thousands of Firefly fic around.

Unlike some fics that I adored when I first discovered fanfic and now find shudder inducing upon reread. (Giles lost in mental thought? What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Sheesh.)

Thrive to spite them

Heh, when I first started reading Buffy fanfiction I read an many, many WillowSue/Spike stories. And bad Xander/Spike stories. Needless to say my taste has vastly improved.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Nutty, check your inbox, when you get a chance.

Polyamorous Recommendations has been updated today.

Well, yes, we know it's been a few months...

In our defense, we bring you a copious amount of recs!

Gen! Het! Slash! In almost equal proportions! The apocalypse is clearly upon us, and shrift will stop using exclamation points now.

Something like 19 fandoms.

Something like 65 stories.

shrift would like to say for certain, but the sleep deprivation and cold pills have put her brain on the fribbitz.

Giles lost in mental thought?

Hm. On some mental thought, to say nothing of digestive thought and histological thought, I have to admit I have no idea what such a thing means. But yes, it's sometimes scary the things we revere in memory far more than they deserve.

Burrell, it's off to email I go.

New fic! New fic!

... although it's occasionally distressing to realize I'm *too* plugged into Farscape. PolyRecs never lists any Farscape stuff I haven't read, and frequently I've beta'd them... Heh.

Lots of goof Buffyfic I've never read, though. Make a note for lunch, and now off to work.
