Someone wanted the corpse fic? By our own, highly talented and oh so foamy Nutty.
Okay, so it's actually called "Cradle Elbows Wide", but I like "corpsefic" better. *g* And where's the title from, anyway?

Oh yes, that's the one I read. Good.
Oh, my, that was fantastic.
Nutty, that was wonderful!
I really got the sense of desperation and practicality that must coexist during war. I loved the flow of the writing, the language and structure. I got a good sense of Mal. And, damn, now I want to read the (unaired) pilot.
I haven't read everything that's been posted, but it's certainly the best piece of Firefly fic I've read. And not just because I know Nutty and not just because it involves something other than River and the guys with blue hands.
Wow that was good. Disturbing, but good.
Number slutting, because Fay (that companion of numerals) has gone to bed.
Bookmarking Nutty's fic, since we were talking about writing style at our lunch.
My favorite detail was the VNVs.

I have no idea. It's probably a word-wrong riff on something from a children's rhyme, or some doggerel, but I can't pinpoint it.
Well, thank you all for your praise; although, from what I'm seeing, "best Firefly fanfic" is like saying fastest tricycle, because, you know, show three weeks old and inane sex stories about characters we hardly know predominant.
What have you all found? Firefly's Glow is the only dedicated fic archive I've found so far. Which, considering the three weeks old part, is actually more than I expected.
I'm really and truly impressed, Nutty.
Don't knock it, Nutty -- get in on the ground floor and you get to establish fanon. Three years from now everyone's gonna be trying to figure out where the disembowelment motif came from... *grin*
