Quick Rec question-- I finally got the proper software loaded on my Mac to watch vids, and need to get caught up in them. Do people have any they would recommend? I'd be especially interested in vids from ME shows, of course.

Unfortunately, a lot of ME-verse vidders took their work down a couple of months ago because of a kerfuffle (some fan giving a 'gift' of a burned copy of other people's vids to Joss and Nate Fillion in a FF convention without asking the vidders, I think.) Some are back up, but a lot of the good ones are missing.

My favorite vidder in ME-verse is probably sisabet. She and her sister Dawn run Head Tilt, where they used to house most of their vids. I see that their kick-ass Angel vid, "Cowboy", is still up, but some of my other favorites, i.e. "Last Stand", "Closer", and "Brass in My Pocket", are missing. Ditto the kick-ass Xander vid and a great vid about "Restless" the titles of which are escaping my brain for the moment. Damn.

Luminosity's got a bunch of vids on different shows at Eye Candy Works. They all rock. Especially "Southwest Voodoo".

Bonibaru's "Out of Gas" vid, set to Rufus Wainright version of Hallelujah, made me cry like a baby the first time I saw it. I'm not kidding.

Laura Shapiro took her vids down, but I'd beg and steal for someone to send you her Willow vid, "Transparent", and her gorgeous Due South vid set to "Lord, I Have Made You a Place in My Heart".

here's luck makes excellent BtVS vids, too, although right now they seem to be unavailable because the server's down.

Laura Shapiro was the first vidder I ever watched. She's incredible. But she took her vids down from the public page, after a vid-stealing fandom scandal; I think that if you email her with the promise that you won't steal or redistribute her vids against her knowledge, she'll give you directions to the password-protected site.
