So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Obviously the Watcher's Council's thesis readers aren't as picky about such things as the thesis reader's at my university were.

Oh, half the really really good writers do it, too. It drives me bonkers, but I deal.

It's just funny that people get really up in arms about other names, but then do the same about this one.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Plei, I always want to go back in time and retroactively change it to Wyndham or Windham, because the H-lessness bugs me. That said, fanficcers ought to follow canon spellings, even when they look stupid. IJS.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, Conner is easy to spot because it's wrong wrong wrong. Wyndham, however, is a pretty common spelling so it doesn't grab the eye the same way.

But I'll join you in your campaign to stamp out false Wyndams.

Mwahahha!

It doesn't bother me all that much, and I fully understand the H urge.

But thanks!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

One of the tiny Buffista shoutouts in my novel is the fact that the heroine's uncle and aunt are Lord and Lady Windham. I just couldn't bring myself to spell it Wyndam.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

There's also "frike". (I possibly remember reading Vrya saying she'd made this one nearly solely because she was so enchanted with the pairing name, as well?)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh -- that's really pretty!

Thrive to spite them

I went out to dinner with my friend D and I ended up telling her about fanfiction, she knows that I'm really into tv shows and such and she thought the idea of fanfiction was really cool. I kind of left out the parts about slash and NC-17 ratings when I was talking about it though because I was giving her the 10 minute recap of fandom in general.

The first thing she asked was "Is there Seinfeld fanfic?" It's her favorite show, it's probably the only show she watches reruns regularly for...so, uh, does anyone know if there is such a thing?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Check ff.net. God knows that seems like the most likely place.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Pretty 'Frike' picture!

And, damn, Fred looks like Dru. I could totally see Spike going for her, actually.
