I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

I want my remix person to post on whether she likes it/hates it/thinks it doesn't really count as a remix. How dare she be out having a life! Or doing something online not focused on purely gratifying my desires! Doesn't she realize it's all about me?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Fay, did you read my remix? Here's the original story, and my remix of it, Rise.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Both my remixees were happy, so I'm happy.

Cool.

Kate Bolin's posted her remix to Silverlake...I'd wait until the names were publicly released before sending it to the lists, personally. What do you think?

BWAH!

Okay, I highlighted the whitefont.

So now I know.

it also feels slightly inappropriate to be going through this in a public forum not in private e-mail, but as I don't know who it is, I... I don't know. Maybe I need some more sleep.

I don't know. I felt weird about bitching about my remix here but I still did it. Even once I knew who had remixed my fic, I didn't feel comfortable emailing them. What would I say, "Thanks but I thought your remix butchered my story"? I really had nothing constructive or nice to say so why bother?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Fay, did you read my remix?

Oh, very nice. Nice story to choose, too - never heard or thought of putting that spin on it all, but it works. Puts all those dream sequences and bed-making stuff in a whole new light.

Yeah, I thought it was really cool too. The original story, or the idea behind it.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Hot DAMN, Am, I love what you did with his story! Go You!

I'm just copy-pasting that because I want to keep looking at it. Thanks, Fay.

I'm with you, love - I was under the impression that Gaelic was written with the same alphabet as English. But even if it wasn't, what the hell is Buffy doing with letters in a foreign alphabet? Not big with the logic.

It's good to know that.

Yeah. In the end, because I have such mixed things to say, I've just e-mailed a note that says 'I''ve got some things to say about your writing and I'd like to hear what you think of mine; get back to me if you want to talk' and left it there. Seemed to give them more choice in the matter.
