Yeah, I thought it was really cool too. The original story, or the idea behind it.
Fan Fiction: Writers, Readers, and Enablers
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
Hot DAMN, Am, I love what you did with his story! Go You!
I'm just copy-pasting that because I want to keep looking at it. Thanks, Fay.
I'm with you, love - I was under the impression that Gaelic was written with the same alphabet as English. But even if it wasn't, what the hell is Buffy doing with letters in a foreign alphabet? Not big with the logic.
It's good to know that.
I felt weird about bitching about my remix here but I still did it. Even once I knew who had remixed my fic, I didn't feel comfortable emailing them. What would I say, "Thanks but I thought your remix butchered my story"?
Yeah. In the end, because I have such mixed things to say, I've just e-mailed a note that says 'I''ve got some things to say about your writing and I'd like to hear what you think of mine; get back to me if you want to talk' and left it there. Seemed to give them more choice in the matter.
Heh.
I remain pleased.
Guess I got lucky.
Flash fic is going to kick my ass, I just know it.
Easter scary. Hiding in basement. Want to go home.
why is Easter scary? Too many peeps around?

t rimshot Well, that and they're all peace love and harmony types, and most of my BA was spent studying war, plus I've made it through Kafka and Sartre and my faith in humanity is at an all time low. Plus I'm snippy and defensive of my pop-culture love, and in the mood to explode the myth of the myth.

Substitute "law" for "war", and you just described my family and I pretty darn well. I love them and all, but I'm very glad they are all too far away to visist easily.
I hope you didn't read Kafka and Satre all at once, because Yeesh.
Hee. I meant the threads, actually.
I am home, and away from my husband's hippydippy family.
My parents are FAR more cynical and bitter, bless them.
Hee. I meant the threads, actually.
Actually, so did I.
Actually, so did I.
I've kept up with them semi-real-time *g*
No need to read them all in a lump, thank Jeebus.
Am, your remix was fantastic - you know how I feel about it (I got to beta, she said preening). And, yes, I will read your original story and the remixed version.
Good thing I'm working an all night shift on Tuesday (ooh, and Wednesday) it'll give me a chance to read the remixes and catch up in Bitches.
Once I've posted my flash fic in LJ, I'm going to post it in Bitchy Fic. 1000 words, baby. Not as easy as it might seem.
