"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Yes, I was choked too. Bless.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Has anyone ever received something from a writer with lots of enthusiasm and no talent or skill whatsoever?

Too many frelling times to count. Though I do my best to offer a thorough and constructive beta regardless. I have a small rep for being a hardass in beta.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

a writer with lots of enthusiasm and no talent or skill whatsoever

I worry that I AM that writer.

Which is partially why I've only ever written one snippet of fanfic.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hey Plei, I just read The less said the Better, over on Bfa. (If you posted it here, I missed it.) Yet another good read.

Oh, my.

I posted it a year or so ago on World Crossing, and didn't get drunk enough to post it elsewhere until last night.

Actually, until just after midnight, its name was The Unspeakable Buffy Fic.

Glad you enjoyed it. I had my snarky pants on at the time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I had my snarky pants on at the time.

I figured that, which made me like it. I just tried to go back and read it as if it weren't tongue in cheek but it didn't work. I still giggled at it.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Plei gives good snark. Some of the best.

I think I could wear large shiny objects in the hole my tongue left in said cheek during the writing of that story. One of my big worries originally was that, ye gads, someone might take it SERIOUSLY.
