I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It almost certainly must have been rec'd on ChronicleX, because that's how I found all my XF reading, in those days.

Nope. Not gonna go back and reread.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

(What else have you written, and where can I find it, by the way? Do you use the same name?)

I post on ff.net under the name Sophia Prester. The thing I like about ff.net is that I tend to hop from fandom to fandom in my writing. I think you've read my Angel fic ("Oedipus Paradox"). I'm an anime junkie, and have written one Trigun piece, a Sandman/Rurouni Kenshin crossover featuring Despair and Delerium, and...um...er... a Sailor Moon/Homicide:Life on the Streets crossover and oh, God I am so frelling embarrassed....

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was rewatching this X files ep again, and I just DON'T GET the people who want to write the fluffywuffy romance out of the angsty violent enemy slashy vibes.

You and me both, sweetie. I tend to call them "chintz curtains" stories, because inevitably someone will mention window dressings. This is where the egregious Mpreg lives, in this fandom.

Oedipus Paradox

!

Oh yes, that was you!

You know, re. IKEAfic, I was reading A. S. Byatt, Angels & Insects and going, huh, 'cause that is WHAT she writes. There's an obscene amount of interior decorating.

Only... it's A. S. Byatt. So it's good.

brillig

There's a good Skinner/Scully oost story called "Skinner's Case" that's logical and painful and all that stuff. Skinner has to go off and deal wtih a high-profile kidnapping case and takes Scully along so he has someone he can trust with the forensic stuff. It's all from his POV and you get to see him deal with sleep depriviation, bad coffee, the grungy details of a tough case, and that gorgeous red-headed woman who's got his back and is the only one he can trust in a bad situation.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Anne, if you don't take the ita bunny, I might try my hand at it.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

There's nothing wrong with twin bunnies.

Thrive to spite them

There seem to be alot of weird AU stories in The Sentinel fandom. The whole different times/different places thing. There was even one that followed canon storyline but Jim was a woman, maybe Blair too, I'm not sure because I never finished it.
