Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

I liked the Christmas party/dance stories. A lot of them were hysterically funny. And meant to be.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

The hell of it was, there were so many. I mean, one or two random balls, okay, that's no weirder than neon raves, but there were like, hundreds! Every shipper worth her salt was writing one!

I mean, for crying out loud. I can only think of one romance that involved falling down in purple goo, something that textually happened on the show, and that was slash anyway.

Always Anti-fascist!

I liked Scully, still do, more without the baby stuff Connie mentions.

Doggett could have carried that show if they'd given him the chance.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I liked Doggett. I thought he was quite nummy, and not a bad actor.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Poor Robert Patrick. That was probably the most thankless job ever.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! Word is in from my beta shaped person who doesn't think my remix fic sucks beyond the telling of it. I am much relieved. I think I shall celebrate with a nice cigarette and some caffeine.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Well, it's a credit to him that a lot of people seemed to warm up to him by the end.

Hee, I just read that. My favorite bit:

Hurt/Comfort: Best to demonstrate with a mini-fic here. Writer takes character A, strips him, strings him up from a tree, covers him in honey and sets a swarm of wasps on him. Character B wanders past, and says, “What’s happened to you then?”

A replies, “I’ve been stripped, strung up from a tree, covered in honey and had a swarm of wasps set one me. It’s really quite painful.”

B, “Oh. Poor you. Fancy a shag?”
