So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

....so, any liklihood of Angel/Connor? Or Angelus/Connor? Since I am on the Express train to Special Hell...

Funny you should mention that...

Umm. Yes, actually.

Up with the sun

I can't see Angel/Connor any more than I could see Dawn/Buffy, and I have almost the same reaction to Angelus/Connor. Maybe if the fic started with Angelus vamping Connor, but then it's almost like a Spike/Angelus story with even more of an edge of joy in transgression. But that's me, and I'll be interested seeing what Plei does with the idea.

I did like the Darla/Connor ficlet, but I think it worked for me because it started from the premise that Darla didn't know who he or she was, and it's from her viewpoint, plus it's so short that the visceral disgust doesn't have time to set in.

I have no special opinion on canon/noncanon relationships; I read for plot first, writing second, characters third.

Always Anti-fascist!

I think I agree with Plei.I think you would have to "make more from less".Um, not that my opinion counts very much.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Sometimes writers put people together because they think "he's cute! and (s)he's cute! Yeah, that'd be hot!" without really giving a damn about good characterisation. Which isn't a particularly good thing, imho. YMMV.

But I do that. I mean, not the characterization thing, but the ooh-pretty thing. That's how my Xander/Wes went, and then the Billy Tallent/Wes thing. Just an urge, and fic in response to that urge.

Hey, Plei, I'm lucid if you maybe wanna do some pinging.

This is the key bit, though. I mean, it really is, isn't it? And I did actually think about the Billy Tallent/Wes story as I typed, because I remember you saying that you'd been quite specifically motivated by "ooh, pretty!" and that the character of Billy was chosen out of several possible characters played by the same actor. But once you'd done that, you did concentrate on character.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The discussion on BBF makes me want to rip my eyes out.
