I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.
Al is just so canonically straight, and within the show was shown to be very uncomfortable with homosexuality, and none of that was really addressed at all (or at least, not enough to make it believable.)
Which is kind of what bemuses me about the decently-sized QL slash fandom.
