did Mulder and Scully get textually romantic at any point? Because this final ep seemed to read like they were textually involved, and I've only watched it patchily.

Um. I would have to say, not textually. We never saw it as such. And it was unclear for a long time (and perhaps even now?) as to who fathered Scully's miracle!Sprog. 1013 did much poorly characterized retcons and handwaving, and basically pissed off many fans. Either have no romance or have a romance, but don't try both at the same time, you dumbasses. Feh.

Oh, X Files folks, I feel your pain. It must have been hell. I'm glad that I already know about the betrayal and disillusionment, so I can go play in the nice fandom belatedly, without having expectations to be dashed.

Hey - finally caught an episode of Witch blade. Quite like it. It looks lovely - very comic book, almost frame by frame - and it has a strapping sexy brunette, which is always a plus for me. So far I'm well disposed to it.

MM - Not as mad as you might think. JennyO wrote a rather nice Buffyverse story that's BtVS/Beowulf slash, which puts an excellent spin on the story.

I say go for it. I've found when writing crossovers, that it's best to pick one of the two series to be the dominant one, and save most of the explanations, etc. for the less well-known series.
