First page of LoP. It's not Hall's real page, but that page doesn't work for me.

As for no anonymous posting, that was rather intentional, wasn't it?

(Connie, can you edit that link to be smaller? It's resizing my teeny little screen.)

We value our privacy, as feeble as that may be in reality.

It's non-existant actually.

And that's the bottom line. There's a real sense of community, and I really fucking cherish it.

And you can protect it and cherish it if it's meaningful to you. I'm a member of a private community. Any referrer tracking to it would result in a deadend because it's protected from intruders. No one gets to join who isn't vetted first. There's nothing to stop Buffistas from doing that, but this little episode should tell you there is nothing currently private about your community. You live in a glass house and anyone can come by and see what you're doing on the toilet and the only thing they need to come inside is a skeleton key.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, yay. Reality. Just what I needed.

Actually, I think the posts from one of the threads showing up in Variety did that. I think it was Variety.

We don't want to be Latin, more English. Change is good. We've just... well, we've just had a little more of it than usual in the last two weeks.

That's why I linked back your journal here.

And I'm glad you did, though I don't expect I'll be around much after this discussion dies out.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I do wonder if we got a little more than we bargained for, or were prepared for, with the advent of the Phoenix Board.

This would be why we had the freakout when the policy discussions first started on WX. Or maybe it was just me freaking out.

Heee! I'm sorry. I just... yeah. That's funny. Yeah, seriously not private at all, is it?

Nope! It is, however, a big reason why we're all a little tetchy.

Normally, the whole structure keeps things from getting too... too, but lately, not so much.
