We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

In this case, the person in question doesn't lurk here.

I know. I also know she said she couldn't be bothered to register to post. I still think it's kinda rude. Connie doesn't know she's been set up for a strawman by a complete stranger who wasn't participating in the discussion.

I understand where Connie's coming from, and so do the rest of us -- we know her, we know her history in fandom (rather longer than that of most of us, I'll note), we generally know when she's being serious or silly. Context is everything.

I'm not saying the LJ-er in question grossly violated every rule of netiquette and should be banned from the Net. I just think it's kinda rude to cut and paste someone's posts into your LJ and then criticize them. Even if you then welcome us to respond in your own forum.

In other news, I'd be very happy to not have two discussions I participated in to make it onto fandom_wank in the same month.

I'm just saying.

Then you get into the whole "is lj a personal place, or public forum" debate, which is about as messy as the rest of it.

So, right, Anyone have any GOOD BUFFYVERSE RECS???

I asked about a half hour or so before we started the latest go-round.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Have you hit everything from the latest PolyRecs update?

Yep.

Edit: and even the things I was right not to trust on BBF.

Well, you clearly read too fast. This is the problem.

HA! Or writers just write way too slow.

Kristen - Dec 23, 2002 11:22:06 am PST #1969 of 10000

I know I read too fast. Which is sad because I blow through good stuff in a matter of seconds and am left with only badfic. And eventually, you even run out of fun badfic. From then on, it's nothing but manmeat and insanity.
