That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You know, I am still bothered by the popslash fandom = lobotomy crack from a few weeks back.

You're right, that was me, and it was a cheap joke. Honestly, that's all it was, a joke. I know too many good writers who are writing popslash. But I think it's in the Buffista by-laws somewhere that all other considerations fall by the wayside when there's the chance for a snark.

I apologize sincerely if I offended you. It wasn't intentional. Nor was it the smartest thing I've ever done.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is it asking for trouble to ask for a link to the link?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dear lurkers: this board may be a public forum, but it is not a newspaper, and most of us are not pundits or VIPs. You want to argue with someone here? Argue with them here.

In this case, the person in question doesn't lurk here.

She's a (very good) RPS writer who I suggested for Lizard when she was looking for the same and was curious about who was linking to her. Referrer logs are my downfall.

ita, the person is linked to upthread a ways.

Yes, but if you search for Lizards posts, it's there. But it is asking for trouble, because twain meet never shall on this issue.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

ita, here.

(Cutting and pasting the link rather than clicking on it will keep it from showing up in the person's referrer logs as coming from here. Hint, hint.)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I know. I also know she said she couldn't be bothered to register to post. I still think it's kinda rude. Connie doesn't know she's been set up for a strawman by a complete stranger who wasn't participating in the discussion.

I understand where Connie's coming from, and so do the rest of us -- we know her, we know her history in fandom (rather longer than that of most of us, I'll note), we generally know when she's being serious or silly. Context is everything.

I'm not saying the LJ-er in question grossly violated every rule of netiquette and should be banned from the Net. I just think it's kinda rude to cut and paste someone's posts into your LJ and then criticize them. Even if you then welcome us to respond in your own forum.
