You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

One of the DJs said they play it because they love watching me swoop and twirl around the empty dancefloor.

Oddly, or not very, this is very, very close to a bit in the fic.

(GC!Dru is just like Jilli! Only crazier, and older, and deader, and with a house full of vampire minions, not evil bunnies. OK. Fair play.)

Also? I'd love to see Jilli dance. I'd so love it.

Also also? Dude, okay, I love "State Fair", but, these are not conventional cellos. Electric maybe. I know you can get a heavier sound out of cellos than violins or violas, I really know that, but you can't shove a cello *that* hard. And I'm not complaining, because electric string instruments? Yum. But either they *are* using more than just cellos and percussion, or more happens in the state of post-production than I'd previously assumed.

Hey, I'm all good with that. I plan on growing up to be crazier, older, and possibly with a house full of vampire minions.

But either they *are* using more than just cellos and percussion, or more happens in the state of post-production than I'd previously assumed.

Having seen them perform "State Fair" live, I'm pretty sure they have some way-cool effect boxes they can hook up to the microphones for the cellos.

OK. I really would like to see them live. That would so absolutely rock.

'Cause, girls with cellos, hot! It's really true.

But I'd love to find out what they do to their instruments to get that sort of electric-thrashing sound. And I've been wondering how they sing while playing! Hella *hard*, really.

Um. Also, the song, PJ + Vincent & Matthew + Bjork? I know who Bjork is, but who are these other people? Musicians? ... & they're not the actual people, right, they're Rasputina with funny voices?

I stood outside the venue for half an hour, on the mere hope of unclaimed Will Call tickets being released. They were, thank goodness. And then I loitered around the venue for an hour afterwards, waiting to meet the band. My copy of Cabin Fever is now autographed.

PJ is PJ Harvey, a semi-crazy musician. I don't know who the two boys are suppose to be, but yes it's just Rasputina with funny voices. They do odd things like that on all their albums.

So cool!

I got Hilary Hahn to sign our copy of her Unaccompanied Bach....

OK. And, cool.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Jeeeeesus.

So I was curious, and did a count of the stories on Poly Recs.

787 stories in 50 different fandoms.

787.

Damn.
