"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Elizabeth's one of those few writers who consistently produces good work in every fandom she goes for.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Ah, the slippery slippery slope of Slash. But we can see the stars so clearly from our place here in the gutter. Oh yeah.

Still no Wolverine/Magneto, then? Damn. I could so go for that. In a big way.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Going to need a beta in about two hours.

Not for anything that's been workshopped in Bitches, something short.

Any takers?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Any takers?

Hit me. I'm feeling all ambitious now that I've beta-ed with Lizard.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Hec's a wonderful beta.

David "Hecubus" Smay: What is this love affair you have with the colon?
David "Hecubus" Smay: You are the colon's bitch. I think a comma here.

David "Hecubus" Smay: Why must you torture me with this idiosyncratic colon use?

Snerk. 'K, hon, but you won't get it until morning now, because we went grocery and DVD shopping. (Blues Brothers, to replace our aged tape)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thanks for the heads-up, RL. I expect Hecubus would give me a hard time about my passive-aggressive relationship with the semi-colon. *grin* Oh, and the comma splices. I do them on purpose, and I can't stop myself.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The semi-colon is a beautiful thing. IJS.

I feel very strongly about this.

(And then, Hec, we watched two episodes of Angel on DVD, so you get it tonight. My bad.)

brillig

Comma splices are very organic. Semi-colons are like a swinging door, sure, it's easy to get past it, but you've still got to push through the thing.

Oh, look, another comma splice. Neener.
