"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

FearlessDiva is still revising Tissue of Silver, actually, so there may be more tweaking, but I don't think we'll get to hear about Ron's story, poor lamb.

Although there's no prequel in the works she's presently writing a deliciously farcical sequel called Seeing The Light aka "The Snogfic", because it's inspired by a photo Zahra sent me of Jude Law (our choice of Future!Draco) being snogged by Jonny Lee Miller (our choice of Future!Harry). It's frivolous and tangled and plotty as a plotty thing, in the style of the traditional English farce (not yet readable online, but I'm beta-ing/bouncing around plot ideas like mad). Once that's done and dusted she plans to follow it with a story all about Snape, the seeds for which will be planted in the Snogfic.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My friend grit kitty has posted a new Sentinel story, which continues her trend of busting cliches. Highly recommended. And send her feedback if you like it.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

GK is one of my *favorite* Sen authors.

Does anyone here read Star Wars fic? I'm looking for slash Star Wars TPM, but not Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan. I know they're slashable, I just can't see them like that, which doesn't leave me with many options. Is there Qui-Gon/Mace or Obi-Wan/other male out there? Thoughts? Better still, links?

Am-Chau, The Sith Academy, my first step into fan fiction, a host of great writers, and some really funny shit. Maul/Obi-Wan, parody, excellent things.

Thanks, RL. And Star Wars was your first fandom?

No, that's what makes it funny. I've still never watched the Star Wars movies-- I came to the SA as though it were original collaborative fiction, dizzyingly organized and controlled and bitingly strangely reflexive and self-parodic. It was shiny.

Then again, it wasn't a very strange-feeling position for me, because I'm very used to reading things and all of their references to other texts I don't know about, because I am, or at least was, what has been fondly called a pop culture nun.

Ah. I'm like that with some things- I still haven't watched any X-files at all, and see yesterday's natter re. my knowledge of Jenifer Lopaz (none). And I read Star wars original Triology stuff with pleasure, despite not having see those movies, either. Phantom Meance is the only one I've seen.
