The plot was nonsense, as it was written by Alias writers, but that's not the point.
If only I'd kept that in mind back when Lost first began to air.
'The Killer In Me'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Did we already know there is a remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still in pre-production? I'm in the "it'll suck major dog balls" camp. [link]

The basis of the plot wasn't written by them. They had second crack at it. And I heard that Bay rewrote too. So it'd not be fair to blame it on them.
And another brilliant original screenplay ends up on the shelf.

Heh, really? Because the whole magical map on the glasses and EVERYONE WANTS THE CUUUUUUBE had a very Alias feel to me. Of course, I'm not sure if I would expect a Transformers plot not to be nonsense.
What did strike me as amusing, however, is that the movie takes place in an alternate universe in which Transformers never existed. Because at no point during the movie does anyone yell, "Oh my God, it's a TRANSFORMER!"
Holy shit people, only 40+ posts to go. Any way we can turn this sucker over before Harry Potter comes out on Wednesday?
What's the rationale for quickly using up the last posts in a thread? I'm just curious.
It's fun?
Also, I think the practical matter is that it keeps actual, viable conversations from being split between threads.
Ok that makes sense.
Plus, it's cool as hell to get the last post.
