Natural predators:
The bird's only natural predators were hawks and eagles.
Although, I bet that owls took a few too.
And even if we didn't slaughter them they would have suffered because we destroyed their natural habitat. (By clearing all so much of the forests between the Atlantic and the Mississippi.)
Is there a SciFi movie about a mad scientist who harvests passenger pigeon DNA and regrows them á la
Jurassic Park,
and then they breed rapidly á la
Gremlins
and begin attacking people á la
The Birds
? If not, why?
The bird's only natural predators were hawks and eagles.
That must've been like a buffet line for the raptors.
If not, why?
Have you seen
Night of the Lepus?
Because horror films about not-horrible animals tend to not ping the primal fear centers in the brain.
P-C, you should totally propose that to SciFi. Perhaps you could include the Giant Auk and the Sea Mink. Ooh and the Carolina Parakeet!
Well, maybe something like the Attack of the Were-Rabbit. . .
What if movie casting.
Some of these I totally see--Chow Yun Fat as Morpheus in
The Matrix,
and others make the movie way too different.
I think the turning down that surprised me the most was Kate Hudson picking
The Four Feathers
over
Spiderman.
I just .... man, I didn't even
like
Spiderman.
I still would have taken the role.
Daniel Day Lewis would've made a good Aragorn.
Not that I'm unhappy with Viggo, but DDL would've been good.
Have you seen Night of the Lepus?
Generally, Hec, the answer to "Have you seen [movie]?" coming from you is no. Heh.
I wonder why Christina Ricci didn't get the role of Lolita. She seems perfect. Perhaps too perfect? Dunno. Never saw it.
