Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Thrive to spite them

Well there is dead body in a pool of blood from where he's shot himself in the head. That body is just lying there between them for the longest time.

I just flipped back over there and it's at a doctor's office so I don't know what else it is.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm watching Saw now. It's not as horrific as I'd expected. (At least, not yet.) It isn't merely torture and gore; it's a dark psychological thriller. With torture and gore. Not really my thing; I'm kinda watching from the hall.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I saw Waitress today. Cute, and it made me hungry for pie! So, I treated myself to a strawberry-rhubarb mini pie from Wild Oats.

Oh, I almost forgot! I saw a trailer for Death at a Funeral and it looks like fun!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I hope Waitress is still at our theatre this weekend, because Saturday is going to be the first time we will have had the chance to see it. We still haven't seen POTC3 yet, but I assume it will be in theatres a little longer.

Compassionately intolerant

Saw Ocean's 13 today.

I went with my perky, always up for a laugh, buddy. We both laughed outloud and I didn't think about it too much. In the end, I really enjoyed myself.

Saw the Stardust preview...pretty!

Huh. I slowly came back into the room, realized after a few minutes that Saw was not bothering me after all, and by thirty minutes from the end I was kinda bored. ... Does this say something bad about me?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Nah, it didn't do anything for me either. Maybe if the acting was better.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I saw Once today. It was cute, but I was kind of meh about it. Maybe if I'd liked any of the songs...

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

ION, yesterday I saw a very lively production of WEST SIDE STORY at the Maine State Music Theater in my home town (mom gets season tickets as a present every year). It made me realize I somehow knew all the music even though I don't think I ever saw the entire movie (and have never seen it on stage). Also didn't realize that Sondheim had done the lyrics.

Now I think I have to see the movie, but it's going to be very hard keeping a straight face watching Benjamin Horne and Dr. Jacoby as Tony and Riff.
