On the Watchmen casting Keanu aside - everyone seems too young. I'm fearing bad aging makeup.

did she sound English?
Nope. Just extremely raw.
Nope. Just extremely raw.
Heh. That may be reason alone to see it. Though it hasn't moved me to actually watch MANDINGO yet.
Actually, that's one of the roles that would totally work with his range.
I have to concede that Dr Manhattan = flat affect. I just can't picture him saying, "whoa."
I'm with Plei. I don't know the other guy they were talking about for Night Owl, but the other two bits actually have me quite intrigued.
What really excited me was this information that Jude is already a fan of the material. How much more do I love Jude now, one, and two I think he'd be perfect for the role.
Also, as too the Golden Compass teaser?
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny.
I think Keanu's about as right for that part as he was for John Constantine, but at least it soothes my fears about spending two hours watching Harvey Keitel in nothing but blue body paint and a bald cap.
Now if you got de Niro for the role, he'd not only shave his head, he'd get himself dyed dark blue.
Canoe actually made a pretty good Buddha, as long as he didn't speak more than two or three words of dialogue.
No, I'm serious -- he had the movements and physical acting perfect, and even the right tone of voice, but if he went more than four words in a row, the Indian accent attempt threw me right out.
As much as I love Keanu, I think it's a mistake to cast him in what will almost surely be an entirely CG role -- when he's well-cast, he's a compelling actor because of his physicality. I wholeheartedly support using him for the motion-capture, but for the love of all that's holy, hire someone else for the voice! (And really, they should just cast Doug Jones.)
